Keep far away from the busy of the tourism area – Cat Ba town to go to the National Park. Stopping on the way for half an hour to visit Hospital Cave. Then follow the trail to do the hike and the trek. Exploring the steep and rugged limestone jungle before having a good view of Cat Ba Island from the viewingpoint. Enjoying bird- watching, bird- singing or squirrel- dancing on the way. Having lunch at one of the most famous local restaurant in Viet Hai fishing village before cycling to Viet Hai Dock to take the boat cruising through Lan Ha Bay to go back to Cat Ba Town ( for full day hiking only).

FOR HALF DAY TREKKING

DEPART: 8AM OR 1.00PM→RETURN: 12.00 OR 5PM
PICK UP: FROM THE OFFICE
8AM: Take a car or motorbike to go to the National Park.
8.25: Stop to visit Hospital Cave
9.15: Start moving to the National Park.
9.30: Start doing the trek
10.45: Reach to the viewingpoint – Ngu Lam (Along the way you will have good chance to enjoy bird-watching,bird-singing and squirrel-dancing)
11.45: You will be at Cat Ba National Park’s entrance and 20 minutes to be back to Cat Ba Town.
12.00: The trek finishes

TREKKING FAQs

I’VE NEVER TREKKED BEFORE. IS THIS A GOOD OPTION FOR ME?

Maybe. Our treks are rugged, including sections of scrambling, and many people find them quite difficult. You are, after all, following goat trails in a Vietnamese limestone jungle.

CAN WE TAKE OUR KIDS TREKKING?

No. Although our treks are strenuous (although rewarding) for adults, we trek on goat paths that require some amount of scrambling on sharp rock and are not suitable for children.

WHAT IF I DON’T WANT TO GET ON THE BACK OF A MOTORBIKE?

Don’t worry! We’ll call a taxi to pick you up.

WILL MY TREK GO INTO THE  NATIONAL PARK?

Since we prefer to stay in a less-traveled area of Cat Ba Island, we do not normally run treks in the national park. If you are interested in trekking in the national park specifically, contact us and we can customize a trip for you.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Sturdy, close-toed shoes. Long pants may be helpful to protect against insects.
