Often referred to as “Inland Ha Long Bay ”, the area of Tam Coc and Hoa Lu is characterized by the limestone geology that gives rise to the towering karsts that make this picturesque area so unique. On this enjoyable day trip, the atmosphere is relaxed as you casually pedal and paddle your way past green rice fields, along waterways, and through underground passages.

Detailed Tour Itinerary

08.00 The HTS guide will pick up you at your hotel in Hanoi, then drive south of Hanoi for 2 hours to Ninh Binh province.
It will be an exciting day highlighted firstly by a 2 hours local boat ride in Tam Coc streams where you will enjoy the spectacular scenery while gliding along the river among rice paddies and the range of limestone mountain peaks that tower over you.
After a lunch of local food at a riverside restaurant, a short transfer through a peaceful country road to Hoa Lu, once Vietnam’s ancient capital, 11 centuries ago.
There are two temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the founder of the capital in the 10th century. Return to Hanoi and the tour ends at your hotel around 18:30-19:00 PM.
